Endometriosis

Our treatments offer an effective and natural way to support women with endometriosis. Our goal is to support healthy functioning of the endometrium and hormones with naturopathic methods.

What is Endometriosis?

One in ten women have endometriosis, this means one hundred and seventy six million women in the 15-49 yr age group are affected globally.  Endometriosis can cause inflammation, that can result in pelvic pain and menstrual irregularities. It can also impact on fertility.
The cause of endometriosis is not fully understood, it is multi factorial and may involve genetic, immunological and environmental factors. It seems to run in families.

Our approach

We explore the causes of endometriosis holistically. We support the bodies natural capacity to heal using herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, dietary and lifestyle modifications.

In assessing and treating a woman with endometriosis we consider the following:

  • The impact of environmental toxins.
  • Liver function
  • Pain management
  • Hormonal balancing
  • The Immune system
  • Herbs and foods to reduce inflammation

We are experienced in working with endometriosis related fertility issues.

Fibroids

Fibroids can lead to heavy bleeding and discomfort for women.  We offer a drug free approach to help address underlying hormonal factors and  manage the symptoms of fibroids.

Fibroids can effect up-to a quarter of women between the ages of 15-50. They can result in heavy periods and may effect a women's ability to become pregnant.  Fibroids are often linked to oestrogen and can be more common in women over the age of forty.
Many of the products we use and eat very day can increase the effects of oestrogen in the body and encourage fibroid to grow. Xenoestognes are chemicals that can cause oestrogen dominance in the body. An example of one of these is parabens.
In assessing and treating women with fibroids we consider your age and symptoms as well as:

  • Hormonal balancing
  • Liver function
  • Environmental factors
  • Heavy bleeding
  • Nutrition
